2 Days, 2 Adventures

What follows are three links to two adventures that occured over the course of Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday Kyle, Neal and, I went to Maymont park and played in the waterfalls. Then on Wednesday the tree of us drove to Baltimore for a Fall of Troy concert stoping at University of Marayland to pick up Eric. Once in Marayland Kyle’s firend, Brigid, who lives there showed us around. I didn’t take the camera into the concert since I didn’t want anything to happen to it.

A glorious afternoon

Yesterday was absolutly georgeous and since neither Steven nor I had any classes after noon, we went up to the driving range at Birdwood. Afterwords we went to Khor Brothers foren custard since yesterday was $.05 cone day. The plane was to spend a dollar and each have ten cones. Unfortunatly there was a one cone limit per customer. I took my camera but didn’t end up taking any pictures.

SkeazTown update

The following video was filmed at 2:30 AM on Saturday.

It is hard to make out exactly what is going on but the audio is quite clear. One person, sitting at the “table” recently built by the woodsmith, is dressed in a wrestling mask and talks to a camera giving a cuss riddled “drink review”. Midway through the review of the “Midnight Cowboy” a second person, also in a wrestling mask, scales the wall behind the guy, puts a noose around his neck and then hauls him over the railing. Both “wrestlers” fall at least 10 feet, and land on top of each other. The girl filming the review then screams. At that point I was giggling to much to continue filming.

As promised

As promised I got a picture of the woodsmith’s masterpiece. It was painstaking worked on for three days. The primary components are a stump, bench frames from a school bus, random bits of wood, bricks, and last but not least an umbrella. It also has a built in light but it is not visible in the picture.

The woodsmith’s masterpiece

The woodsmith has recently finished a project of epic proportions. I will try to post pictures tomorrow.

Wrong holiday

Yesterday, while walking to Newcomb for breakfast I saw what I think was a hedgehog. I am not positive since I have never seen one before but, that is what my mystery creature seemed to resemble most, that or a tail-less beaver.

Tabletop snowboarding

The current banner is a crop of the following picture.

Barging Lile

Last year we got a bit of snow, not a ton but enough that after we we collected every little bit in the entire quad we had enough for a “runway”, and ramp, the tabletop and a “landing pad.” In order to give Chad enough speed to make it up the ramp the had to be towed down the hill, hence Bill in the background with the lacrosse stick (read tow rod).

Two flash mobs in two days

Yesterday we got into a big line and then the person at the back fell into the person in front of them, who then fell into the person in front to them. The falling propagated down the entire line forming a human “domino effect.”

The today we formed a “tunnel” (the kind employed by sports teams where individuals run through and their teammates shout encouragements at them) along one of the busier sidewalks. Instead of using the typical sports encouragements we got random strangers jazzed about class. “Great note taking!” “Nice highlighter work!” This was our first mob to actively engage nonparticipants (as opposed to keeping the participation within the group but holding it in a public place) so it was an exciting change of pace.

Photos/videos of both activities have yet to be posted, but I will link to them once they are.

I wonder what tomorrow will hold…
